WHAT IS THE SENIOR SERVICE UNIT?
The Senior Service Unit was created by the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office and County Commissioners. The program was designed to bring law enforcement and social services together whereby reducing the victimization of our seniors through educating our residents about predators and types of crimes.
The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office/Commissioners Office is your partner in fighting crime and maintaining an outstanding quality of life. The men and women who serve here are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and excellence. Senior citizens are invaluable, and we owe it to America’s Greatest Generation to protect them from those who are determined to steal their assets and dignity.
To help with this effort, the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office will create a series of “Senior Alerts” to raise awareness and provide recommendations to prevent our seniors from falling victim to these types of crimes.
In addition, the Trumbull County Senior Service Unit will be working with county patrol officers in A “Senior Watch Program”.
